Ramiro is an ecologist and evolutionary biologist who investigates the microbial world using omics tools and bioinformatics. He is a principal investigator at the Institute of Marine Sciences (ICM), CSIC, in Barcelona, Spain, and leads the log-lab, which focuses on the structure, function, dynamics, and evolutionary processes of microbial communities. Dr. Logares also coordinates the Marbits eco-informatics platform at ICM-CSIC. He earned his PhD from Lund University, Sweden.
